Since 2005, our team of sports physiotherapists and medical practitioners has been committed to making your well-being our priority.
Restore Physiotherapy and Pilates was established in 2005 by licensed physiotherapists and current Directors, Mary Di Iorio and Stuart McKenzie. As experienced physiotherapists, they both recognised that while manual physical therapy is great in the short term, patients need a more sustained solution to address muscle and movement imbalances.
Clinical Pilates, a supervised exercise therapy, was a great way to do this. By tailoring an exercise program for each individual’s needs, they can provide more lasting benefits to their patients. This prompted them to establish their clinic and studio in Kew, a vibrant suburb that will enable them to help more patients.
In 2011, long-time employee Joel Ames became a joint Director in the business, and the practice has since evolved to include more than 10 practitioners. Today, Restore is trusted by hundreds of residents in Kew and its surrounding areas.
Our practice has seen many changes over the years, including rebranding efforts in 2014, expanding our services into healthcare, and undergoing major renovations in 2016. But no matter how big we grow, our commitment remains the same: to Restore our patients' well-being.
Our values
Our physiotherapists are passionate about helping people not just recover from their injuries, but also achieve their goals. Each of us has a unique specialisation in sports, movement, and training, allowing us to deliver the best possible treatment no matter your injuries.
Many of Restore’s team members have suffered from injuries and undergone surgeries themselves. We understand first-hand how a skilled physiotherapist can help patients fully recover and return even stronger and fitter than before.
